Each student was given two stars to vote for the best picture description based on the (1) description of the situation, (2) the feelings of the characters, (3) the personal opinion and (4) what will probably happen next.<br /><div></div><br /><div>There was a gallery walk and everyone averaged about 6 stars. The group that won had 12 stars.</div><br /><div></div><div>I wanted everyone to exercise their vote with integrity and practice democracy in their little way. They were allowed to vote for their own work but had to use their 2 stars to vote for two separate groups.</div><div></div><br /><div>I was happy that everyone was co-operative and voted seriously. It was quite interesting to walk around. Each group was given post-sticks. </div><div> </div><div>They had to write two things which they liked about the other group's work (Stars) and how they thought the other groups could improve their Picture Description (Hearts). </div><div> </div><div>Each group wrote this down on the post-stick and placed this on the group's work. Pretty soon, everyone could see the comments of others and learned from each other. </div><div> </div><div>I think the class learnt alot from one another and they had fun.
